Fix an access problem
Find the next step for credentials, models, limits, or an interrupted stream.
Check your connection first
Use the gateway address supplied at activation. SDK clients need the base URL ending in /v1; the Palepale client needs the origin without it. Check your model ID against GET /v1/models, and confirm the credential has not expired.
Invalid credential — 401
invalid_api_key means the credential is missing, expired, or revoked. Request a replacement through Discord. Do not paste the key into a public support channel.
Model not found — 404
Use an approved ID from your gateway catalog. A public offer marked Planned does not guarantee an active route. An unsupported endpoint can also return 404.
Rate or budget limit — 429
For rate_limited, reduce simultaneous requests and honor Retry-After when supplied. For quota_exceeded, ask the team to review your shared budget or outstanding reservations. A credential replacement does not reset the account's usage.
Gateway unavailable — 503
not_ready or storage_unavailable means the gateway cannot accept the request. Check with the team before repeated attempts. The model catalog can be readable while chat is unavailable.
A stream stops early
Read error events after the HTTP stream opens. upstream_error, upstream_timeout, or usage_unknown can end a request. Avoid blindly repeating a request after it has produced output; its provider outcome may be uncertain.
Send useful support details
Share the time and timezone, app, model ID, error type, and request ID in a private support conversation. Omit credentials and confidential prompt content. Open Discord or review the API contract.
Need a hand?
Open Palepale Discord for activation or account support. Compare API offers or choose a plan.
